Hood River Blossom Time
Extending from April 1–30, Hood River Blossom Time welcomes the return of spring as cherry, apple and pear trees explode with vibrant pink and white flowers all over the region. Blooming begins at lower elevations and moves upwards in a cascading ripple throughout the month, creating a breathtaking display of vibrant color contrasting with blue skies and evergreen trees.
All month long, celebrate spring at a variety of events, including family-friendly farm events, craft shows, food festivals, wine and cider tastings, and of course — the Hood River Cider Fest. And in between events, take a scenic 35-mile drive along the Hood River County Fruit Loop, lined with orchards, wineries, farms and more.
Hood River County Fruit Loop
The Hood River Valley is home to an overwhelming number of wineries, fruit orchards, flower fields and more, making it the perfect environment for spending a spring day. There are 29 member stands that create the Hood River County Fruit Loop, offering wine, fruits, vegetables, flowers, ciders and food. Some are open all year, others open for harvest time, and some open as early as March and April, which changes each year. Hood River Blossom Time Events Hood River Winter Farmers’ Market
April 3 + 17, 2021
April is the last month for the winter version of the Hood River Farmers’ Market. Tucked inside the Ferment Brewing Company tasting room, the market features a wide variety of vendors selling local produce, meats, eggs, cheese, baked goods, honey and other artisanal foods and unique handmade gifts. Celebrate the arrival of spring by stocking your fridge and pantry with locally grown, seasonal items! The market takes place on the first and third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.
Easter Egg Hunt at Packer Farm Place

Packer Farm Place is hosting their 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your basket and search high and low across the farm for eggs alongside the Easter Bunny! Your ticket price includes the egg hunt and prize, cookie and egg decorating, craft tables, outside games, a visit with the Easter Bunny, and more. Plus, the Packer Farm Place store will be open and stocked with delicious Easter treats, drinks, snacks and hot apple cider donuts. Tickets must be purchased online in advance! Tickets are $10 each and hunt times start on the hour every hour between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Blossom Craft Show
April 17 + 18, 2021
The Blossom Craft Show is 24 years old this year and still going strong! It is always held at Hood River Fairgrounds on the third weekend in April as the first craft show of the year. Vendors come from all over the Northwest to sell a variety of foods, jewelry, sewn goods, patio pieces, plants, baked goods, unique handcrafted items, and more. They will also host the annual Quilt Show and Sale, the Odell Garden Plant Sale, and more. Rain or shine, more than 150 vendors and hundreds of shoppers will gather for a weekend of creativity and shopping!
Hood River Cider Fest

Hood River is gaining momentum as a hotspot for hard cider, as the area is teeming with apple and pear orchards. Celebrate the region’s thriving hard cider culture at the annual Hood River Hard-Pressed Cider Fest, where you can sample creations from local cider makers in addition to a variety of Northwest cideries. This day-long event also features live music and a kids’ activity area — which means the whole family can join in the fun!
