Norton Water Stones: "large size" water stones - 8" x 3" x 1"; 220 grit is used for basic shaping and edge repair; 1000 grit is used to get a basic edge; 4000 grit can be used to finish off the tools, and to get that mirror-finish use the 8000 grit. Slower to wear than those Japanese water stones!

All Norton water stones include molded, hard plastic storage case which is stackable and has rubber feet to hold the stone in place while sharpening.

Norton Set of 4 Water Stones: "large size" water stones - each 8" x 3" x 1"; exactly as above, but sold as a set.

Norton Combination Grit Water Stones: "large size" water stones 8x3x1"; same as above, but with different grits on either side of the stone.

Norton Flattening Stone: "large size" 8" x 3" x 1"; to be used periodically to flatten Norton water stones; also works well on other manufacturers' water stones; made from coarse grit Silicon Carbide; has diagonal grooves running down it, to catch the slurry.

Nagura Prep Stone: ¾ x ¾ x 3" – aluminum oxide – used for raising a slurry the finer grit water stones where raising a slurry can sometimes be a problem; also good for removing high spots on stones. (water stone not included)

Norton EHT Custom Set: four "large size" water stones - each 8" x 3" x 1"; exactly as above, sold as a set with flattening stone. Everything you need!

Norton Crystolon Combination Bench Stone: giant bench stone - 11½" x 2½" x 1"; coarse/fine oil stone; recommended for use on harder metals like High Speed Steel; tends to cut more aggressively but at the same time will wear more quickly.

Super large version 12" x 2½" x 1½"; same as above, but larger and much heavier; ideal for use in professional kitchens on large knives or the workshop when you want the stone to stay put! (not pictured)

Norton India Oil Combination Bench Stone: giant bench stone - 11½" x 2½" x 1"; coarse/fine stone; basic staple for any workshop; ideal for all general sharpening on chisels, plane irons, blades, etc.; particularly ideal if you have large plane irons.

Norton India Oil Combination Bench Stone in Anniversary Box: medium size bench stone - 8" x 2" x 1"; Coarse/fine grit.

Norton Large, Extra Wide Oil Stones: 8x3x½"; perfect stones for honing wide blades ie. plane irons and ideal to use with honing guides; includes molded, hard plastic, stackable storage case which has rubber feet to hold the stone in place while sharpening. (oil not included)

Norton Translucent Arkansas Bench Stone in wood box: large size (for an Arkansas bench stone) bench stone - 8" x 2" x ¾"; ultra-fine; will get that final mirror-finish razor-edge on your tools. These are the finest stones and should last a lifetime!
